The Department 

HARP is seeking a expressions of interest from registered nurses to come and join our service and to work in the Mobile Assessment and Treatment Service (MATS).  Altough this role is advertised as full time, RNs seeking either a full time or part time position may apply. The MATS team is comprised of nurses and medical healthcare professionals. MATS provides a seven-day per week service with a focus on care for the frail elderly in the community setting and in residential care. MATS employs an outreach model so as to reduce potentially preventable hospital transfers where ever it is safe and effective to do so. MATS also provides an on call service in the afterhours, so that residential care providers have access to clinical decision making support and facilitated access to acute care as required.

The Role

The MATS RN works within a supportive team to deliver holistic assessment and acute care, and to assist residential staff, general practitioners, carers and significant others in the care they provide also. This rewarding role would suit RNs with significant experience in acute general and geriatric healthcare and with a passion for ensuring the very best care for older persons and their supportive networks.


  • Current professional registration with AHPRA.
  • Clinical experience in General Medicine across the acute, sub-acute or community sectors
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
