The Department

Alfred Health Community Rehabilitation Program provides Home and Centre Based rehabilitation as well as Falls Clinic services.

The service's focus is on the provision of goal-directed, community-based rehabilitation for clients following injury or hospitalisation.

The Community Rehabilitation multidisciplinary team comprises physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, a neuropsychologist, allied health assistants, rehabilitation medicine doctors, community health nurses and social workers.

The role

We are now looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and skilled Team Leader and Senior Occupational Therapist to provide leadership to staff working within the Centre Based Community Rehabilitation team.

A major focus of this position will be to provide leadership to staff working within Community Rehabilitation including an involvement with service development and quality improvement as well as the provision of high-quality clinical services to ambulatory clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in staff supervision and performance management.
  • An understanding of contemporary clinical and quality improvement frameworks.
  • Experience providing outpatient or community-based rehabilitation.
