  • Community Rehabilitation - Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service and Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP), Caulfield Hospital

  • Maternity leave cover position – fixed term, full time (0.5EFT ABI community; 0.5EFT CRP)

The Department

Alfred Health's Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Community Rehabilitation Service and Community Rehabilitation Program are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and skilled occupational therapist to provide high quality assessment and management of community based clients.

The Position

This position will provide occupational therapy services across both the ABI community rehabilitation service, as well as community rehabilitation program, both located at Caulfield Hospital. Along with the clinical responsibilities in this role, this position will provide supervision to OT staff and students, and contribute to quality improvement and research activities within the ABI and CRP Service.


The successful applicant will have:

  • Significant clinical experience in and knowledge of client-centred, occupation-based practice for patients with a range of diagnoses, specifically ABI
  • Demonstrated skills in both cognitive and physical assessment and intervention and home modifications 
  • Experience in or awareness of  management approaches for behaviours of concern
  • Experience working within an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality rehabilitation
  • Experience working in a community rehabilitation team is highly desirable
  • Experience in student and staff supervision is highly desirable
