The Role

Reporting to the Foundation's Fundraising Manager the position of Fundraising Specialist has broad responsibilities for implementing fundraising activities in line with The Alfred Foundation’s strategy. This includes, helping coordinate a multi-channel approach to mass market giving, as well as a focus on community programs, co-ordinating special events and working with community groups to achieve their fundraising targets. In particular this role will support growth in regular giving and cash giving through multiple channels including, direct mail, telemarketing, face-to-face and online.


  • Proven experience in implementing fundraising activities, with preference given to mass market fundraising experience
  • Proven experience working with community fundraisers
  • Experience supporting events
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Experience coordinating fundraising channels including, digital, face to face and telemarketing is desirable
  • Degree qualified in a related discipline would be an advantage but not essential
  • Possess a sound knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques
  • Public speaking experience or willingness to develop skills in this area
  • Ability to work out of hours including some weekend work on occasion
