Data Manager - Radiation Oncology
Part-time, 16 hours per fortnight

The Department of Radiation Oncology is a unit of a comprehensive cancer service provided by Alfred Health. The department is comprised of two units, Alfred Radiation Oncology (ARO) located in the South Block at The Alfred and The Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO), located at Latrobe Regional Hospital. Together the two units provide the full range of radiation oncology and radiation therapy services (with the exception of paediatrics) in addition to some specialised serviced with both state and national significance.
The Radiation Oncology department of the Alfred Hospital has a vacancy for a part-time data manager at their Gippsland site. The successful applicant will be involved in the maintenance of departmental databases for all patients attending the department as well as assisting in related research projects.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Competence in computer systems, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently is required. Previous experience in a health care and/or medical research environment would be highly regarded and previous oncology experience would be an advantage. Qualifications in health information management, science or allied health professions are desirable.
