Part Time: at least 45.6 hours a fortnight
The Alfred Health Radiation Oncology provides cancer services for patients in the central South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Alfred Health is co-located and closely affiliated with Monash University including the department of Immunology located within the Burnet Centre.
As Research Assistant (RA) you will perform research-related activities (including administrative and operational responsibilities) to support the research program of A/Prof Sashendra Senthi and A/Prof Menno van Zelm into the immune effects of immunotherapy for treatment of solid tumours. You will be in affiliation with the Alfred Health Radiation Oncology Department and the Monash University Department of Immunology and Laboratory, taking advantage of the clinical and laboratory expertise of both.
In the role you will be responsible for establishing protocols for cellular and molecular analysis of patients’ blood samples prior to and during immunotherapy. Such experimental activities include 15-color flow cytometry, in vitro stimulation and cytokine measurements.
