Clinical Psychologist Grade 2 or Grade 3 Clinician - Alfred Health Community Rehabilitation Program
Permanent position, 24 hours per fortnight
Based at Caulfield Hospital
Alfred Health Community Rehabilitation Program provides Home and Centre Based rehabilitation as well as the Falls Clinic services.
The service's focus is on the provision of goal-directed, community-based rehabilitation for clients following injury or hospitalisation.
The Community Rehabilitation multidisciplinary team comprises physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, a neuropsychologist, a clinical psychologist, allied health assistants, rehabilitation medicine doctors, community health nurses and social workers.
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Centre Based and Home Based Community Rehabilitation teams.
The overall objective of the position is to provide high quality assessment and management of psychological disorders and behaviours for clients referred to Community Rehabilitation Program.
The part-time Clinical Psychologist will be pro-active in developing the Psychology service within Community Rehabilitation Program, and contribute to quality improvements processes as required.
Minimum five years of clinical experience.
Specialist skills in assessment and management of psychological disorders and behaviour.
Recent experience in rehabilitation or aged care.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
Demonstrated understanding and commitment to principles of continuous quality improvement.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence-based practice.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to promote teamwork.
Strong theoretical knowledge base and experience in the areas of orthopaedics, neurology and gerontology.
Demonstrated participation in professional development relevant to the position.
