  • Clinical Psychologist Grade 2 or Grade 3 Clinician - Alfred Health Community Rehabilitation Program
  • Permanent position, 24 hours per fortnight
  • Based at Caulfield Hospital


The Department

  • Alfred Health Community Rehabilitation Program provides Home and Centre Based rehabilitation as well as the Falls Clinic services.
  • The service's focus is on the provision of goal-directed, community-based rehabilitation for clients following injury or hospitalisation.
  • The Community Rehabilitation multidisciplinary team comprises physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, a neuropsychologist, a clinical psychologist, allied health assistants, rehabilitation medicine doctors, community health nurses and social workers.


The Role

  • We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Centre Based and Home Based Community Rehabilitation teams.
  • The overall objective of the position is to provide high quality assessment and management of psychological disorders and behaviours for clients referred to Community Rehabilitation Program.
  • The part-time Clinical Psychologist will be pro-active in developing the Psychology service within Community Rehabilitation Program, and contribute to quality improvements processes as required. 



  • Minimum five years of clinical experience.
  • Specialist skills in assessment and management of psychological disorders and behaviour.
  • Recent experience in rehabilitation or aged care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to principles of continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence-based practice.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to promote teamwork.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge base and experience in the areas of orthopaedics, neurology and gerontology. 
  • Demonstrated participation in professional development relevant to the position.
