Consultant in Geriatric Medicine – Full-time Maternity Locum to commence on or about 19th November 2019 to 8th June 2020
Alfred Health is the main provider of health services to people in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and has a major role in the provision of specialist tertiary and quaternary services on a state-wide and national basis. The Health Service operates three outstanding facilities - The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham - and provides undergraduate and postgraduate training in Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health, with strong links with Monash and Latrobe Universities and the University of Melbourne.
An opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Specialist in Geriatric Medicine to join the dynamic Aged Care Department at Alfred Health, in a maternity locum capacity. The position is for up to 7 months. The successful applicant would potentially have responsibilities across the range of inpatient and outpatient services provided by the Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Community Service (RACCS) at Alfred Health including:
Aged Care Consultative Service
Geriatric Evaluation and Management
Better at Home
Aged Care Assessment service (ACAS)
Mobile Assessment and Treatment Service (MATS)
The Aged Care Department supervises Advanced Trainees in Geriatric Medicine and values a commitment to quality patient orientated care through collaboration and research.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Consultant Specialists in Geriatric Medicine (FRACP in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent) for this full-time maternity locum position, commencing on or about 19th November 2019 (38 hours per week + on call)
