Trauma Registry Manager
Full-Time, 80 hours per fortnight, including an ADO

With a mission to improve the care of the injured, the National Trauma Research Institute (NTRI) was established in 2003 by partnership institutions Alfred Health and Monash University. The NTRI is located with the Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct (AMREP) at The Alfred campus in Melbourne, Australia. The NTRI supports the clinical care provided by The Alfred, Trauma Services.
The NTRI works with organisations nationally and internationally to prevent and reduce the impact of severe injury by integrating research, education, biotechnologies and trauma system development to improve clinical care and outcomes.
The Trauma Registry Manager implements the data components of the Trauma Program relevant to trauma performance monitoring, quality improvement, education and research. As a principal participant in the further development of the Trauma Services at The Alfred, this person must possess high-level interpersonal; problem-solving; communication and organisational skills with a proven ability to meet timelines and work without supervision. The Trauma Registry Manager is responsible for the provision of trauma data to The Alfred Trauma Service, The Victorian State Trauma Registry and The Australian and New Zealand Trauma Registry.
This role is a 12 Month Full Time Fixed Term with a view to a permanent position. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Competence in relevant computer programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook)
Relevant Post Graduate qualification preferably – possession or working towards a Masters’ level.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
Trauma nursing or health professional expertise, with recent acute care experience in a Major Trauma Service
Research – project management experience
Experience in managing and reporting datasets
Experience with Ethics Committee application and reporting processes
Easy public transport access
