Alfred Mental and Addiction Health (AMAH) is responsible for the operation of area mental health services which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
This new and exciting Exercise Physiologist position has been developed as part of a Physical Health Stream within a community mental health service, aimed at improving the physical health of clients. The position is based at St Kilda Road Clinic and will focus on ensuring mental health clients have access to a range of adjunct health services which will promote and improve their physical well-being. The Exercise Physiologist will work with clients both individually and in group settings, to develop and deliver individually tailored exercise programs, as part of the multidisciplinary client care plan. The position will report to and be supported by the Nurse Practitioner and will work within a team comprising Pharmacist, Dietitian, Enrolled Nurse and Engagement Support Worker.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Registration with Exercise & Sport Science Australian (ESSA) as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Relevant work experience
Satisfactory Police Check & Working with Children Check
