DEPARTMENT: The Department of Respiratory Medicine within the Alfred Hospital requires a part time Administrative Support for its Lung Transplantation Service (Medical).
POSITION: This role will primarily involve administration/receptionist duties and providing support to our busy outpatient clinics. Other duties will include scheduling clinic appointments, phone and patient enquiries and other administrative tasks as directed.
Experience working within a medical environment and familiarity with medical terminology will be highly regarded, however, applicants with strong customer service and administrative skills from other fields will also be considered.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Strong keyboard skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated strong customer service focus for both internal and external customers and a commitment to team work
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
Experience working within a hospital/medical practice or similar environment
Knowledge of medical terminology
Easy public transport access
