Non Clinical Support Services provides the core support services functions of non-ward Cleaning, Gardens and Grounds, Distribution, Security, Ward Support, Food Services, Fleet Management and Car Parking, Linen & Waste Management


  • The position of Car Park Team Leader is a key operational role within the department.
  • The position is primarily responsible for overseeing the day to day car park operations and supervison of the car park team, promoting compliance and enforcement, undertaking various administrative tasks, fleet and valet operations, maximising parking turnover and the availability of car spaces, as well as ensuring a safe and secure environment for all staff, visitors and patients within the confines of the all Alfred Health operated and leased car parks.
  • This position is a key frontline person for the organisation and requires a positive, approachable and outgoing individual with the skills and personal attributes to contribute to quality outcomes for our community through the provision of regulatory enforcement, using effective customer service, conflict resolution and problem solving techniques.
  • Some planning of tasks and a demonstrated commitment to teamwork is required. There is scope for recommending improvements to streamline systems and improve customer service.
  • The position may also be required to provide assistance, in other areas of Non Clinical Support Services operations as requested by the Alfred Car Parks & Fleet Coordinator, Manager/Director, Non Clinical Support services or any other Alfred Health manager across The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospitals.
  • An appropriate qualification is desirable.
  • The standard hours of work varies across 6 days including mornings, nights, after hours and weekends. A current drivers licence is essential (manual prefrered).
