The Information Development Division supports and maintains ICT across Alfred Health. Services include helpdesk, desktop support, telecommunications (phones, mobiles, pagers), nurse call, security systems, server and network support, application support for enterprise systems, business analysis, project management, IT training, visual communications. Over fifty technical staff supports an environment comprising over 4000 network-connected desktop computers and over 200 servers. In addition, IT Services manages the wide area network and data centres for several other health services.
The incumbent will support Alfred Health’s EMR Team to maintain, support and enhance core applications that are used iin the EMR. The applicant should be highly skilled in software engineering techniques including previous experience in the use of functional and Object Oriented technologies.
University degree in computer science (equivalent) or higher qualification and work experience with a minimum of 4-5 years (as a guide) programming experience with exposure to systems design/web programming, reports and querying relational databases, Oracle and SQL.
Working knowledge of Cerner systems used in the EMR
