Permanent Full Time- ward clerk position (80hrs fortnight with ADO)
Integral part of Alfred Health - General Inpatient Department
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Ward Clerk to work on Ward 4WA - a dynamic 20 bed medical specialty ward specialising in Renal, Endocrine and Rheumatology care including our co-located 7 chair acute dialysis unit and peritoneal dialysis unit.
You will be responsible for providing outstanding customer care and assistance to our patients and relatives, administrative support to the clinical team, and handle internal and external enquiries in a friendly, professional, approachable and timely manner.
We are looking for a customer focused applicant with excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to perform a wide variety of tasks in a team and also individually and to maintain accurate patient information and medical records.

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
Ability to provide effective clerical support to the interdisciplinary team.
Ability to provide efficient and effective unit administration coordination.
Ability to deliver efficient approaches to electronic data flow.
Basic computer keyboard skills.
Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent.
Formal training in Microsoft Office Applications (Word and Excel).
Experience/background in a health care setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology and/or clinical practice.
