Alfred Health is the main provider of health services to people in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and is also a major provider of specialist services to people across Victoria.  The Health Service operates three outstanding facilities: The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham.

Alfred Health is recruiting a Haematologist (Full Time) to advance the care of lymphoma and to participate in the provision of service to other areas of malignant haematology.

Appointees must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Clinical Haematology is required as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Clinical Haematology.

Joint appointment with Monash University will be offered depending on the applicant. Research support will be negotiated with the University as per the requirements.

Additional requirements: This is a significant position in malignant haematology to advance clinical and translational research in the area of lymphoma. A proven track record in securing peer-reviewed funding, publications and research will be viewed favorably. Experience as a lead in investigator-initiated or collaborative group studies is an advantage. A higher research degree (e.g. PhD or MD) is desirable.
