The Department

The Alfred provides a fully integrated range of cancer treatment services and modalities onsite, including bone marrow transplantation, medical and radiation oncology and palliative care and Victorian melanoma service. This range of co-located cancer services is unique in the Victorian health system. The Haematology and Oncology Day Centre provides a range of treatments and services to patients.

The Role

An exciting opportunity for registered nurses with Chemotherapy experience and cannulation skills, to work in the Haematology Oncology Clinic. If you have these skills and would like to work in a dynamic outpatient environment, working Monday to Friday then this might be the job for you. This is a part time position 8 days per fortnight. The Day Haematology Oncology Centre at The Alfred has a current part time position for an experienced Registered Nurse. Based in an ambulatory setting, day day chemotherapy and apheresis unit.

Skills/Experience

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, patient centred nurses with chemotherapy skills to join our hardworking and dynamic team. You will have:

•  Haematology experience preferable

•  Apheresis experience desirable

•  Chemotherapy experience and cannulation skills (aphersis skills desirable but not essential)

•  Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care to a wide variety of patients

•  Experience working to achieve positive patient outcomes within a team environment
