Clinical Specialist - Personality Disorders
Full-time, 80 hours per fortnight including ADO

The Personality Disorder Specialist (PDS) Position is a result of a Health Department Personality Disorder Initiative to improve the provision of services to people with personality disorder who access public health and public mental health services. Alfred Mental and Addiction Health (AMAH) have developed the AMAH FLEX model – a skilled up, practical, and connected response to personality disorder management in the public mental health system that promotes flexibility, shared knowledge and better access for people with personality disorder and their families.
The PDS will provide a high level of specialised psychological expertise with respect to the assessment and treatment of people with personality disorder, including: assessment, second opinion, provision of advice on complex presentations, development and review of management plans, secondary consultation and education & training. The PDS will work closely with Spectrum as the specialist service provider for personality disorders and will be supported by a session of Consultant Psychiatrist.
AHPRA registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009.
Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009
Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
At least 10 years’ experience working as a registered clinical psychologist
PBA approved supervisor Desirable
Membership of the APS and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
