The Department

Haematology Clinical research Unit is one of the largest trial groups in The Alfred.

The Australasian Myeloma Research Consortium (AMaRC) was established in 2016. It aims to promote, facilitate and sponsor multi-centre Investigator Initiated Trials and collaborative laboratory research projects in myeloma, acting as Trial Centre supporting the participating sites in Australasia.

The Australian and New Zealand Myeloma and Related Diseases Registry (MRDR) was established in 2012 in collaboration with the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine (DEPM) at Monash University. Its activities are now being expanded to incorporate data collection for AMaRC trials and other research projects.

The Role 

The Project Administrator will be an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised person supporting AMaRC, and working collaboratively with the AMaRC and MRDR investigators, and the DEPM team at Monash University. The AMaRC Project Administrator will provide project management support to AMaRC and the MRDR, focussed on developing clinical trials capacity. 


  • Will have an understanding of collaborative group governance
  • Will have an understanding of relevant regulatory guidelines – ICH/GCP, NHMRC & TGA
  • Good understanding of and experience with clinical research and research databases
  • Shows attention to detail
  • Well-organised with good time management and communication skills
  • Administrative skills to organise, record and report on committee meetings
  • Capacity to update website presence and database development
  • Flexibility to work autonomously and as part of a dedicated team
