Full Time (80hours per fortnight)
Alfred Pathology Service () provides a comprehensive range of pathology testing, consultation services and collection services to clinicians and patients of AlfredHealth. The Service has 4 units (Anatomical Pathology, Biochemistry, Haematology and Microbiology).
Pick-up and delivery of pathology specimens, reports and other items for designated internal and external customers of Alfred Pathology Service. This duty involves carrying containers of samples back and forth and a significant amount of walking and extended periods of driving an automobile.
Monitor condition of the assigned vehicle and alert supervisor to any deficiencies.
Maintain the interior and exterior of vehicle in a presentable state.
Work weekend and Public Holiday shifts when required.
Perform other duties as requested by the Principal Managing Scientist, Specimen Processing Supervisor or other delegate.
Ability to deal with blood, urine and other Pathology specimens.
Ability to organise daily work in a careful and accurate way.
Fluency in written and spoken English and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to read street maps.
Good communication skills.
Mature, friendly and flexible approach to work.
Current, full Victorian driver’s license.
