  • Grade 3 Dietitian ICU
  • Based at The Alfred Hospital
  • Full Time - 80 hours per fortnight plus ADO
  • Permanent


Alfred Health’s Nutrition Department is seeking an outstanding senior clinical dietitian with experience in critical care nutrition.

As the Senior ICU Dietitian, you will be responsible for the clinical operation of a team of dietitians in the ICU cluster of Alfred Health’s Nutrition Department.  Clinical expertise in critical care, strong leadership skills and a proven track record of coordination and implementation of quality initiatives in clinical nutrition are key aspects of this role. The Nutrition department has a proud history of research and there is an opportunity to participate and/or undertake research projects.

The Alfred Hospital Intensive Care Unit is one of Australia's leading Intensive Care Units, admitting approximately 3,000 patients a year. The state-of-the-art 45 cubicle unit is one of the largest and has the most complex case mix in the country.


The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Clinical expertise in critical care nutrition.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to lead a team and proficiency in nutrition education
  • Experience of continuous quality improvement and service development
  • At Least 7 years post-graduate experience
  • Eligibility for membership of DAA and APD credentialed is essential
  • Postgraduate qualification or be progressing toward one
