HIV Prevention Nurse

Part Time 2-3 days per week.

This position will be at the forefront of a bold HIV prevention initiative in Victoria.
The Alfred through the Victorian HIV Service provides clinical HIV prevention services including HIV Post Exposure Prophylaxis (NPEP) and HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). The service coordinates NPEP access across Victoria and provides PrEP clinics at the Alfred including nurse led PrEP clinics.
The role will require a high level of knowledge in sexual health and HIV prevention. The HIV Prevention Nurse will assist in coordination of the Victorian NPEP Service and provide clinical care to patients accessing PEP at The Alfred. The role also requires the provisions of clinical advice through the NPEP Phoneline. The role will provide outpatient nursing assessments within the PrEPX Clinic under the guidance of the Infectious Diseases Physicians. The role will involve a high level of knowledge in sexual health and HIV prevention.
Current Registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria, as a Division 1 Nurse
Clinical experience in sexual health, HIV or like clinical field is desirable
Demonstrate competency in; Excel, Word and experience working with databases
Clinical Research experience and/or project management experience desirable
