  • Grade 2 Physiotherapist - Alfred Health Community Rehabilitation Program
  • Full-time permanent position
  • Available from 4 February 2019

The Department

Community & Ambulatory services within Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Care provide services and programs across all age spans and focus on enhancing the health, independence and overall well-being of children, adolescents and adults residing in the community. Community and Ambulatory Services provide community based therapeutic interventions that may improve function and/or prevent the deterioration of existing conditions.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to join our Community Rehabilitation team. As a physiotherapist within the Community Rehabilitation Program, you provide excellent client-centred to rehabilitation services to target the needs of the community. The clinical caseload is varied and may include neurological, orthopaedic, cardiac, spinal and functional decline diagnoses.

Experience                              

  • Minimum three years of clinical experience, including recept experience in rehabilitation or aged care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to principles of continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence-based practice.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to promote teamwork.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge base and experience in the areas of orthopaedics, neurology and gerontology. 
  • Demonstrated participation in professional development relevant to the position.
