ABOUT THE MEDICAL ONCOLOGY DEPARTMENT
The Medical Oncology Unit provides co-ordinated multidisciplinary management for adult patients with malignancies. An important component of this care is the Clinical Trial/Research activities we participate in, which enable us to offer forthcoming investigational treatments to our patients. The Unit conducts phase I, II and III trials, and is a participating member of both National and International Clinical Trials Groups, incorporating both pharmaceutical industry sponsored and investigator driven studies across a wide range of tumour types.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working with the Director of Medical Oncology, you will have oversight and accountability for the running of the Clinical Trials Unit. This includes the development of strategic initiatives and partnerships; managing the overall research budget within available resources; and providing clinical guidance and management to research staff, including distribution of workload, appraisal of performance and professional development.
Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
Previous experience in Clinical Trial Management with a minimum of 7 years post graduate experience
Evidence of further education including post-graduate certification/diploma in a relevant area
Evidence of management experience, education and training
Demonstrated excellent team working skills with ability to work using own initiative.
