Bariatric Surgery Registry - Data Support Officer

Monash School of Public Health & Preventive Medicine (SPHPM) is a teaching and research unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and is centred at the Alfred Hospital Campus. It plays a prominent role in public health medicine and works closely with the major Monash affiliated hospitals, research institutes and public health units within Victoria.


As a key member of the Bariatric Surgery Registry, the Data Support Officer will be involved and providing administrative and technical support in the day-to-day operations of the Registry including, but not limited to data collection and processing from various sources, verification and quality processes of data, conducting monthly internal reports and assisting with database testing. 


  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a small team and be an active team player
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-directed
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Access)

Qualification / Experience Required 

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL and VBA coding an advantage
  • Health related knowledge an advantage
