Alfred Health is the main provider of health services to people in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and is also a major provider of specialist services to people across Victoria.  The Health Service operates three outstanding facilities: The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham.

Applications are invited for the position of Honorary Consultant Physician specialising in Clinical Immunology, responsible to the Service Head, Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology.   The role provides clinical care to patients primarily within the Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology Service and is also actively engaged in patient care, research and education.  The focus of the clinical role will be to provide outpatient care for patients with hereditary and acquired immunodeficiency and autoimmune disease.  The workload will also encompass patients with allergic disorders and asthma.

Applicants must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians. Substantial experience in Clinical Allergy & Immunology is essential.  A higher research degree and a track record in research would be desirable.  Further experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research is also desirable.
