Are you dynamic and innovative, with a strong commitment to improving patient safety? Do you have a proven track record in implementation of clinical risk management systems at an organisational level? An exciting opportunity exists for a leadership role within the Clinical Governance Unit.

The Patient Safety (Clinical Risk) Lead is responsible for overseeing the Clinical Risk Management and Patient Liaison teams and programs of work within the Clinical Governance Unit.  This includes overseeing a team of Clinical Risk Coordinators, the incident management systems and processes, the Patient Liaison Officers and the patient reported incident and complaints processes.

You will have:

  • Experience in integrated risk management in a large organization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a complex environment
  • Experience in the application of Clinical Risk Management principles
  • Experience in Patient Liaison and Experience
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with a wide range of people
  • Strong analytical and database management skills
  • Tertiary qualification in health, risk or management fields
  • Post-graduate studies in quality, risk or business management is strongly desirable
