  • Part-time - 64 hours per fortnight

Are you dynamic and innovative with a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes? Do you have a proven track record in the implementation of quality and safety data systems at an organisational level? An exciting opportunity exists for a leadership role within the Clinical Governance Unit. This is a permanent part-time to full time position.

The Quality and Safety Data lead will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of clinical quality and safety data and related systems within the Clinical Governance Unit. This includes overseeing the Quality Informatics team and program of work relating to quality and safety data analytics and systems. Working closely with managers and clinicians, the Quality and Safety Data lead will facilitate/undertake the analysis and sharing of clinical performance information across Alfred Health to ensure an accurate understanding of the quality and safety of patient care and identification of opportunities for improvements.

You will have:

  • Experience in the development of quality and safety performance measurement and information systems within a large healthcare organization.
  • Extensive experience in database interrogation, analysis and interpretation of complex clinical and administrative datasets.
  • Experience with the Victorian Health Incident Information System or similar risk, incident or feedback information system is critical.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a complex environment.
  • Proven ability to engage, collaborate with and influence a diverse group of internal stakeholders including clinical teams.
  • Experience successfully managing and working as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Health related tertiary qualification.
  • Experience in statistical analysis highly desirable.
  • Post-graduate qualification in healthcare management, epidemiology or similar highly preferred.
