  • Full Time
  • Fixed 12 month contract

The Department

Alfred Health Radiation Oncology (AHRO) provides radiotherapy for all adult malignancies, including significant prostate brachytherapy implant services, stereotactic radiosurgery, IMRT and Total Body Irradiation. Most units have Exactrac and/or AlignRT patient position monitoring. Nucletron HDR brachytherapy treatment is administered with needle position verification and repositioning as required, and there are two SXRT units, two 4DCT scanners and seed programs at both sites.

The Role

Alfred Health Radiation Oncology is seeking to appoint a Radiation Oncology Medical Physics Registrar, in the second to third year of TEAP (with at least two satisfactory TEAP annual performance reviews completed) for a one year contracted position that will include a six-month rotation to the Australian Clinical Dosimetry service to continue the pilot of the ACDS TEAP training program. It is expected that before the contract ends, either a satisfactory TEAP annual performance review will be achieved or the registrar will complete the TEAP program.

The position will be based evenly both at the Alfred Hospital and at the Traralgon Campus during the six-month clinical rotation, and will be based at the ACDS for the subsequent six month ACDS rotation.
