Ward 3 East at the Alfred hospital is a 24-bed acute cardiac unit which forms part of the comprehensive cardiovascular service operating across the third floor. Our unit specialises in the management of critically unwell patients requiring Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Heart Failure services, inclusive of the state-wide transplantation and ventricular assist device service.
Our team has a strong vision for patient centred care and leading the way in quality improvements to ensure our patients are provided with exceptional care.
