Fixed Term Registrar in Radiation Oncology for 12 months from February 2019

Alfred Health Radiation Oncology is based at The Alfred in Melbourne, with a full range of specialist clinics and modern specialist equipment including stereotactic linacs and a HDR brachytherapy unit. The AHRO has active IMRT, stereotactic radiotherapy/radiosurgery, and brachytherapy programs; the unit works as part of large multidisciplinary cancer team within a major metropolitan tertiary referral academic health service.

Eligibility requirements

  • Have appropriate basic medical qualifications, by being a graduate of a medical school recognised by the Medical Board of Australia and the Council of the RANZCR (or have successfully completed both Part I and Part II Australian Medical Council (AMC) examinations for overseas medical graduates in Australia)
  • Be fully registered as a medical practitioner by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Have completed at least two full years in an approved hospital as an intern/resident before February 2019

Although this position will not be accredited for RANZCR specialty training, it is expected that the appointee will participate in the educational programme of the Victorian Network.
