Knowledge Translation Role (Occupational Therapist - Grade 3)

  • Part Time - 30 hours per fortnight
  • 12 month contract
  • Based at The Alfred & Caulfield Hospitals.

The Department

Occupational therapy focuses on enabling people to live satisfying and meaningful lives by helping them participate in the occupations they want to do, need to do and are expected to do. Occupations include all the activities that occupy a person's time such as self-care tasks, household duties, community involvement, work or study and leisure pursuits.

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Occupational Therapist to join our research team in a Knowledge Translation role.  As a member of the Occupational Therapy Department, the Knowledge Translation Occupational Therapist (Gr3) will work across funded research and quality projects, including an NHMRC funded Partnership study entitled "Network of sites and up-skilled therapists to deliver best-practice stroke rehabilitation of the upper limb" focused on improving sensation after stroke.  In addition, they will coordinate additional quality initiatives within the department aimed at increasing the use of evidence to guide occupational therapy in our Department.


  • Ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide support and training to junior members of the team
  • Monitor and report on progression of project plans.
