Does understanding the cost of providing healthcare interest you? Are you someone who likes working with data?
This role is part of the clinical costing team, which brings together patient activity data with financial data to determine the actual cost of providing care to individual patients. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wealth of data from across all hospital settings, to work with stakeholders across all program areas, and to understand how the costs within a hospital relate to patient care.
To be successful in this role you require a high degree of IT proficiency, an understanding of how public hospitals operate, and an understanding of how to gather and analyse data. Impeccable attention to detail and strong analytical skills are also a must.
This role is based at The Alfred, where the clinical costing team is part of the broader Management Accounting team within the finance department.
