A little bit about the department...
Alfred Psychiatry is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne. Services are provided by a number of teams located at the Alfred Hospital (Commercial Road, Prahran) and at St. Kilda Road Clinic, Waiora Clinic in Armadale, Alma Road CCU in St. Kilda, the Child & Adolescent Service located in Moorabbin and Aged Psychiatry services located at Caulfield hospital. Alfred Psychiatry also works in partnership with relevant local non-government and social support agencies.
What you'll be doing?
As a part of our team, you will assist in the day to day non-clinical duties that enable the clinical operations and patient services to be conducted in a supported, co-ordinated and functional structure. You will ensure the levels of customer service within in unit are maintained and will manage the day to day goings on within the reception and waiting room.
From time to time we may ask you to work at any clinic/campus of Alfred to support the service.
What about you?
You'll bring your positive 'can-do' attitude and friendly customer service style, along with your previous reception and administration experience.
We'd also love it if you have experience working within a mental health, drug and alcohol or healthcare setting and know your way around the Microsoft Office suite.
Before you become a part of our team, you'll also have to complete/provide a valid background check, and you'll require Australian working rights.
