Where you'll be working...
Ward G2 and G3 form the surgical bed areas for both day procedures and multiday stay patients across Sandringham Hospital. Ward G2 is a 22 bed General Surgical, Gynecology and Orthopaedic Unit, with Ward G3 forming our Day Procedure Unit. Across these two areas, we provide pre- and post-operative care of emergency and elective surgical patients. Our team works in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to facilitate timely delivery of quality care to both our elective and emergency, acute and chronic illness cohort of patients.
What you'll be doing!
As a part of the nursing team on G2/3, you'll be contributing to care plans in conjunction with the Nurse Manager and Registered Nurses and providing nursing care to your patients (with the support of the Registered Nurses).
You'll practice within an evidence-based framework and be required to participate in preceptorship and mentoring responsibilities.
Your excellent clinical and communication skills will enable you to work as part of the team in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to facilitate timely delivery of quality care to both our elective and emergency cohort of patients.
Be registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
Be medication endorsed including Intravenous administration
Have a minimum of 3 years acute nursing experience.
