The Alfred Health Prosthetic and Orthotic Department is a progressive and innovative clinical service provider, committed to helping amputees gain improved quality of life.
We are part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team and are committed to providing excellence of care in rehabilitation and ongoing clinical services to all our clients, both private and public. We provide high quality and person-centred clinical management for clients with limb deficiencies of all levels, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular deformities, ranging from cosmetic transfer prostheses to myoelectric and bionic limbs.
You will have extensive technical experience in the manufacture, repair and maintenance of lower and upper extremity prosthetic prostheses. You have experience in leading a team, strong interpersonal skills and enjoy taking responsibility and pride in your work and your work environment.
You will have some knowledge of the acute rehabilitation and definitive stages of prosthetic management.
You require a strong commitment to evidence-based, self-reflective and best-practice prosthetic technical service provision and to professional development. You will demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a commitment to contribute to the supportive team environment. You will be self-motivated and keen to participate in quality activities.
