  • Part-time - 48 hours per fortnight
  • Based at The Alfred
  • Permanent position
  • Grade 4 Clinical Nurse Consultant

THE ROLE

As the Haemophilia Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will provide expertise for both inpatients and outpatients living with haemophilia and inherited bleeding disorders.  You will utilise your excellent communication skills, expertise in chronic disease management, and your ability to work as part of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary care team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

In this role, you will be well supported and mentored by members of the nursing management and leadership team. 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven capacity to work independently as well as within a team setting
  • Strong capacity to influence and support change and a patient centred culture of service delivery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The enthusiasm and motivation to educate staff
  • Clinical expertise to provide day to day service delivery whilst exploring new ways of working across the clinical teams.
  • Experience with chronic disease management desirable.
