The Department

The Health Information Service provides a range of functions including VAED reporting, medical record management and clinical information requests, Switchboard and enquiries services.

The Admission Office is the single point of contact for administrative processing of admissions and discharges, including completion of admission paperwork for Caulfield admissions, identification and verification of compensable patients.
The Role

The Admissions Officer/Clerk will process registrations, admissions, transfers and discharge of patients admitted to the wards. The role is responsible for completing of admission documentation, providing relevant documentation to the Finance Department, and being involved in the education of clinical and administrative staff on related policy and process issues.

Experience and Qualifications Required

Essential

  • Higher School Certificate/Victorian Certificate of Education
  • Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Administrative and customer service experience in a hospital environment desirable

Desirable

  • Administrative and financial experience within the Public Healthcare setting
