The Department

Digital Health is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation.

The Role

The Business Analyst role will be responsible for identifying foundational technical and business specifications, in addition to orchestrating the formulation and execution of strategies and processes that support the Cyber Security Program of Work. Engaged within the framework of the Cyber Action Plan, this position requires extensive collaboration with internal departments and external entities, including vendors and partners. The Business Analyst is tasked with liaising with stakeholders across Alfred Health and relevant external parties to define and document precise technical workflows and delineate requirements for infrastructure and software

A key focus of this role will be on developing technical workflows and defining solution requirements for enhancing existing Disaster Recovery solutions and the development of new ones. This effort is critical for bolstering the organization's resilience and recovery capabilities. Additionally, the Business Analyst will contribute to the implementation of a strategic Cyber Security roadmap designed to initiate and solidify significant organizational changes, thereby enhancing Alfred Health’s Cyber Security posture. This position is crucial for supporting the execution of various organizational initiatives, especially those related to Cyber Security and enhancing organizational resilience.

Key Responsibilities 

Cyber Security Business Analyst performs a wide range of duties in the development and implementation of Cyber Security projects:

  • Identification, analysis, and development of clear requirements to meet business objectives, end user needs and facilitate common understanding between stakeholders.
  • Creating project communications plans, status reports and conduct status meetings regularly to ensure effective issue resolution and quality project delivery.
  • Coordinate and manage review meetings with projects and programs.
  • Develop business cases with the support of the project manager and change manager.
  • Document business processes, user stories and use cases, and define business, stakeholder, solution (functional and non-functional) and transition requirements / designs for current and new systems throughout project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with programs across Alfred Health to co-ordinate efforts to create the capacity to support training and optimisation activities.
  • Engaging key stakeholder groups including external vendors and acting as the liaison between business and technology teams.
  • Analysing and mapping current business processes and develop change processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
